Art by Cat Manolis 2002

Once upon a time (1995) there was a prince named Dan Nelson who transferred colleges for the third (and final) time and found himself in his first audio production class at Emerson College.

There was also a princess named Miranda Saucier (hereby known as Mandy) who was studying broadcast journalism at Emerson so she could be a sportscaster. Upon discovering her love of audio she changed majors and found herself sitting next to the prince in her first audio class. Some say it was love at first sound bite.

They dreamt of starting a recording studio/audio production company. Soon, Mandy was doing professional voice over work. It became clear to the couple that it was time to build a small studio. They called it Dandysound.

Fast forward a couple of years, to 2000. Dan and Mandy get married on April Fools Day. Dandysound takes on larger clients and the couple is finally able to buy their first home and equip it with a slightly larger recording studio for their voice over work and production projects.

In 2004 the Nelson house expands with Maggie, who believes in princes and princesses, fairy tales and voicing. In 2006 Birdie is added to the clan. Both girls love writing make believe scripts and doing real voice work.

It is now 2011 and Dandysound is excited to offer a variety of voices, styles and price points for your voice over needs.
